Our story

RobinHealth was created to fight against the injustices of the health insurance industry. We are a Husband and wife team who have had our fair share of surprising and ridiculous bills after going into our appointments and procedures thinking, confirming, that insurance would take care of it. But that wasn't the case--and it turns out, it rarely ever is.

When my wife turned 26, she was kicked of her family insurance but still needed to be seen by doctors. We were concerned about the costs of non-insured visits, and kept hearing that we needed insurance because without it we would not get proper care. But, she needed to be seen immediately so we took a leap of faith.

Turns out, self-pay is cheaper than insurance! Who knew, right!

So why are we paying thousands of dollars that disappear when it's time for a simple check-up or labwork? Why, after paying a monthly fee, are we asked to pay a co-pay at the time of visit and then hit with a bill weeks later because we didn't meet our deductible or the doctor was out of network or the care was not necessary? Especially when paying the doctor directly is cheaper?

Thus, RobinHealth was created. We got sick (pun, intended) of being taken advantage of and paying even more for care -- or having to consider whether to get a procedure done because we never knew how much it actually would be. We thought that having insurance meant we were protected; turns out, insurance is who we need protection from.

RobinHealth is for everyone, designed to connect care to patients directly for a more affordable cost than traditional, outdated means. Our platform is free to use for the patient, and payments go directly to your doctor after you've been seen by them. Even if you are insured, this platform is still available to you, for your convenience.
